Our Day workshop at the local library aims to provide teenagers with a safe, supportive and inclusive environment to strengthen social connections in thier local area, share academic interests and engage in fun activities. Through interactive sessions and group discussions, students will develop new friendships, explore common interests, and enhance their emotional intelligence.
Daily Outline:
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
- Icebreaker Activities: Fun icebreaker games to help students get to know each other, find interesting similarities and differences and sharing fun ideas to one another.
- Academic Sharing Circle Game: Group discussion where students share their academic interests, goals, and challenges. Facilitated by the teacher, students will discuss topics ranging from favorite subjects to study tips.
- Creative Expression: Engaging activities such as art projects or creative writing exercises related to academic interests.
- Sports and Team-Building Activities: Team-building exercises to promote collaboration and teamwork. Get ready for a fun scavenger hunt around the library, research cool new sporting facts with your team and win prizes!
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Afternoon Session (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
- Scavenger Hunt Part 2! : Supervised by the teacher, students will participate in a scavenger hunt in the library, searching for clues related to academic topics. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
- Hobby Showcase: Students will have the opportunity to match thier hobbies and interests with a team member. whether it’s playing a musical instrument, photography, Maths, art or coding; An activity will be given to align with your interests. Working in pairs.
- Group Discussions: Facilitated discussions on topics such as mental health, coping with life situations, and building resilience.
- Reflection and Goal Setting Activity: Guided reflection on the day’s activities and setting personal goals for academic and social growth.

The “Connect & Grow” workshop provides teenagers with a supportive space to connect with peers, explore academic interests, and engage in fun activities. Under the guidance of their teacher, students will build positive and supportive friendships, share experiences, and develop valuable life skills that will support them in their academic and personal journeys.
